Exmouth Town Concert Band is the town's longest running community music ensemble, existing in its current form for over three decades and with a history that can be traced back to the 19th century.

Since its inception over 3 decades ago, Exmouth Town Concert Band has been delighting audiences in Exmouth and beyond with their mix of marches, show tunes and modern arrangements of popular classics.

What we do

The band prides itself on its voluntary and not for profit values with members neither paying nor being paid to play. Membership is open to all musicians regardless of age or ability.

The band perform regularly in the local area at their annual formal concerts as well as a variety of more informal performances including free weekly concerts throughout the summer in Exmouth’s Pavilion Gardens and a number of events for local charities such as Exmouth RNLI’s annual Sea Sunday Service.

The band have a long history of supporting local charities, raising thousands of pounds is recent years.

Throughout 2019 the Exmouth Gateway Club will benefit from proceeds of programme sales and retiring collections at the band’s concerts.

 

Our aims

Exmouth Town Concert Band aims to:

  • provide a safe and rewarding playing environment for musicians of all ages and standards;

  • provide musical entertainment to the people of Exmouth and East Devon; and

  • donate much needed funds to local charities and good causes.
